Dr. Kristin Brothers grew up in Southern California and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego, majoring in Biology and minoring Cognitive Science. She then went to dental school at the University of California San Francisco and completed her residency in Orthodontics from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
While in dental school, Dr. Brothers served as Class President of her dental school class for two years. She received several recognitions, including the American Association of Orthodontics award, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology award, as well as the Robert W. Rule Award for “Highest Potential to Succeed in the Dental Profession.” She was a research fellow and represented her dental school at the national meeting for American Association of Dental Research, where she was inducted into the prestigious American Dental Association’s Student Clinician Research Program. Dr. Brothers is a published first author in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics for her orthodontic research project.
Dr. Brothers has many hobbies, including traveling, skiing, cooking, and painting. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter Kaylen, and her dogs Harper and Luna. She strives to give the best care possible to her patients and loves being part of the team at Genecov Orthodontics since 2016!
She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Association of Orthodontics, and Dallas County Dental Society.
